When to Use Copper and Pineapples
One of the most beautiful ways to set off your fence posts is with copper post points. This is a well made copper peaked point that is easily installed as it is slipped over the post. This gives those fence posts a finished and polished look and will continue to turn different colors with the years as it moves to the ash green patina as it weathers. Post points are reasonably priced and can be used in combination with other post caps, copper or not, to bring a wonderful look to your yard, deck and garden areas.
Another great look is one using the welcoming pineapple finial to top post caps to set off your entertaining areas. Traditionally, the pineapple is the symbol of hospitality and is used in many cultures to let one know if they are welcome to stay another day. By using these symbols in your décor you are telling your guests that you love to entertain and that they are welcome and honored guests in your home. If you decide to use pineapples as finials you will need to choose a good post cap to place them on. They are both very easy to install but you will need to paint, stain and then seal them with a good waterproof sealer before you install them.
