The Easy Way to Make Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Chocolate covered strawberries are a delicious treat that can be served in a large variety of ways. Surprisingly, although these tasty treats are extremely popular, they are also exceedingly easy to prepare. The recipe for chocolate covered strawberries does not require an extensive list of ingredients and will not consume too much of your time. Here are the simple steps it takes to prepare these succulent delicates.
The first thing you must do is line a baking sheet with one sheet of waxing paper. You will use this waxing paper to allow your finished chocolate covered strawberries to cool and harden. Be sure to use two cooking sheets if you are sure you want to make a larger amount. Next, you must wash your strawberries thoroughly. Be sure get all the excess dirt off of each strawberry. Use paper towels to dry off the strawberries entirely. It is important that you dry off your strawberries completely because it will be harder for the chocolate to stick if the berries are too wet.
In order to make chocolate covered strawberries, you will need to have a very sharp paring knife to cut the chocolate with. If you are using chocolate chips or any other type of chocolate that is already prepared, you will not need to use the knife. After you have prepared the chocolate and placed it in a mixing bowl, you must now put a piece of butter on the chocolate. Heat the contents in the microwave for about a minute or until melted. Stir thoroughly to ensure that it is mixed well. While holding the strawberries by their stems, dip each one in the warm chocolate and coat them completely. For decoration purposes, you can leave a bit of the red near the stem. Make sure you cover each strawberry and allow them to dry completely on the baking sheet until they are nice and cool. Then place the strawberries into the refrigerator for proper storage. When the chocolate covered strawberries are nice and hard, they are all set to eat and ready to be given as one of your nice anniversary gifts.
