Han Gongfu Sword – A Collector’s Item
Way back in ancient China, detail and design was a primary concern in the art of forging the swords that were widely used. And like all the other swords used back then, the Han Gongfu Sword was also rich with aesthetics as it was a powerful tool in battle. The sword particularly used cavalry patterns used during the Han Dynasty, which was its present period.
Sure enough, detail was one of the main features of the Gongfu Sword by Paul Chen. The 37-inch long hand forged weapon distinctly featured a rosewood grip and silver inlay on the 8-inch handle. The 28-inch blade was made of K120c Damascus Blade. The sword was equally matched with a scabbard with a beautifully crafted “crouching tiger” design filled with gold and black patterns with a dragon on it.
To top it all off, Paul Chen’s design of the Gongfu Sword is actually modeled after an authentic piece actually showcased in a museum, letting this reputable sword maker forge this piece knowing the details first hand. Definitely an ideal grab for both chinese swords collectors and enthusiasts alike.
