I had never thought too much about planning my garden until last winter when I read an article about the importance of planning your gardens and flowerbeds and even your potted plants! I had always had good luck with growing things so I never felt that I needed to plan. But after reading the piece I decided I would do a little research and plan my flower beds and garden and I have been pleasantly pleased. By the end of the season last year everything had filled in just like I had envisioned.

It wasn’t because the plants did any better or worse but because there is now order to my garden and flowerbeds. I have also loved garden arbors but never could figure out where to put one until I sat down and planned it out. Now I will look outside my kitchen window and see a beautiful arbor with flowered vines and trumpeted pink blooms that fill me full of joy. I will never go another season without continuing to plan the look and feel of my yard with the proper plants and features.
